About the event

A constantly healthy and happy protagonist is a boring protagonist. To make your main character compelling, give them emotional damage people can resonate with. They should have wants and needs that are tangible, and an internal and external conflict that clash with one another.

Whether you're working on a screenplay, a play, or a novel, your protagonist needs to be strong enough to drive your story and make us give a crap about their successes and failures. In this 60-minute free online class, Caroline will illustrate the essential elements for developing a compelling protagonist.
