Writers (and actors!) Workshop
Beginning and professional writers (and actors) become better writers in this comfortable group setting as we workshop the material of our fellow members. Writers get to hear actors read their lines, and actors get to work on their cold-reading skills.

About the event
This friendly, relaxed workshop is an open space for writers to bring 10 (or so) pages of their script and for actors to read their dialogue. Screenwriters, playwrights, and TV writers are welcome to workshop their material, and actors of all levels of experience are welcome.
You might be wondering... how does it work? For starters, this 90-minute workshop will be split evenly between the three writers who sign up to workshop their screenplay, teleplay, short film, or play.
Step 1: Workshopping writers will email Caroline ahead of time the 10 (or so) pages they want to workshop.
Step 2: Caroline will share her screen with the group, so everyone can see the script. The writer will let us know what roles they'll need filled, and we will select actors from those who signed up to read.
Step 3: The actors will read aloud, while either Caroline or the writer (writer's choice) read the action lines (stage directions.)
Step 4: Once we've finished the 10 (or so) pages, Caroline will lead the feedback discussion where all who signed up to give feedback can do so.
Step 5: We move on to the next script, and roles are divvied up once again. We will try to share the love amongst the actors, so they get equal reading time.
